Need help choosing an air purifier? Let us help you!
Please try going through our questionnaire below to help you decide?
How big is the room you are planning to put the air purifier in?
First you must decide where you plan on putting your air purifier.
For the home? It is best to put it where people congregate or expect to spend a lot of time. If your family mostly stays in the living room, then that would be an ideal place! Most people, especially those with young children or with allergies prefer to leave it mainly in the bedroom. Remember, because TruSens is so portable, you can move it to another room if needed.
In an office? Place the air purifier where more people work and where people tend to congregate. Consider placing it in meeting rooms as well.
Once you know where you are planning to locate your air purifier, try to measure your room size and compare it to the diagram on the right for optimum room sizing.
Small Room less than 23 sq meter? We suggest the Z-1000
Medium Room less than 35 sq meter? We suggest the Z-2000
Large Room less than 70 sq meter? We suggest the Z-3000
If your room has a lot of dividers or partitions, (example if there is a separate room or section adjacent to main room), or example if you have an L-shaped room where the air purifier is not within line of sight of other parts of the room, the air will not flow quite as efficiently. Consider if you need to add separate air purifiers or the placement of the air purifier. Remember, the air purifier works best near the center of a room... but will be less efficient but will still work well if placed in a corner.
How well do you like the SensorPod / Auto Mode / and Air Quality Indicator features?
Have a look at the features of the Z-2000 and Z-3000 specifically the SensorPod, Auto-Mode, and Air Quality Indicator features. These unique TruSens features are found only on the Z-2000 and Z-3000 models.
The SensorPod allows you to detect the overall quality of the air -- not only beside where the air purifier is placed (where you can expect the air is typically cleaner), but as far as 15 meters away even in the opposite side of the room. SensorPod reports the air quality to TruSens which then shows the reading in the Air Quality Indicator. Finally when placed in Auto-Mode, TruSens can then react automatically to the AQI reading -- and when the air quality is poor, TruSens turns up the air purification speed so it can clean the room faster. When the air quality gets back to acceptable levels, TruSens can then automatically turn down the air purifier.
Many people find this among the most reassuring and valuable feature of TruSens -- as they can "see" their air purifier actually working and they can see the air purifier having an effect! They can then leave their air purifier on and trust that it will do the cleaning!
If you feel these are features that you find valuable, then go for AT LEAST the Z-2000 unit.
Be sure to refer to the earlier question to compare the size of your rooms and if your room size is bigger than 35 sq meters, go for the Z-3000.
Can you afford to upgrade to the next higher model?
If you have the budget for it, it may be helpful to "upgrade" to the next higher model than what was recommended. If, with the above two questions you are already considering the Z-3000, then you may want to consider adding an additional unit whether of the same size or smaller.
If you have more air purifiers, or a higher rated air purifier, it will simply clean the air faster than if you had a single unit. In a way it is similar to how air conditioners work -- if you have more air conditioners your room will cool much faster!
If you can afford it or simply want the best protection and peace of mind, then simply go for the highest level of air purifier you can afford
